2 Corinthians 5:14

2 Corinthians 5:14 (VOICE)
14  You see, the controlling force in our lives is the love of the Anointed One…

What is the “controlling force” in your life?  For some, it may be the responsibility of family (spouse/children).  For others, ambition and career advancement may be the motivation behind the majority of their actions.  The Apostle Paul, writing to the church in Corinth (as seen in the subject Scripture verse), refers to “the love of the Anointed One” (Jesus Christ) as the “controlling force in our lives”.

Can you honestly make this same claim over your life?  What is the driving force that gets you up in the morning?  There is nothing wrong with being motivated out of love for family or even ambition and initiative at work.  However, if the “love of Christ compels us”, everything else will fall into its proper place.  Make sure you to make room for Jesus at the HEAD of the table in your daily life!
